UPDATE: The Nova Scotia RCMP issued a press release on January 23, 2017 to confirm that James Bell was located deceased off of Aylesford Road, near the Dodge and Durling Road areas on January 21, 2017. Our deepest condolences go out to James’ family and friends in this difficult time.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: BERWICK — The Kings District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 62 year old James Bell out of the Berwick, Nova Scotia area.
James was last seen on January 4, 2017 around 1 o’clock in the afternoon. His last known location was on Orchard Street in Berwick where he was seen walking.
James is from Morristown, Nova Scotia. He left his residence on Prospect Road where he was given a ride to Berwick, and has not been seen since.
Police are concerned for his safety and are asking the public to help locate him. He was wearing a red toque, a dark colored jacket, and camouflage colored boots. RCMP say James no longer has a beard and he is now clean-shaven.
An RCMP helicopter will be assisting with the search, as well as local Ground Search and Rescue Teams equipped with search dogs.
James is described as:
• Gender: Male.
• Hair: White.
• Height: 5 feet 10 inches.
• Weight: 150 pounds.
