UPDATE: Regretfully, we report that according to RCMP, the body of Peter Sabattis was discovered by volunteer searchers at approximately 5 pm on May 21, 2017 in Oromocto First Nation along the bank of the St. John River.
At this time, foul play is not suspected in his death. Police are continuing to investigate to determine the exact cause of death.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: OROMOCTO FIRST NATION — The Oromocto RCMP is asking for the local public’s assistance in locating missing 59 year old Peter Floyd Sabattis out of the Oromocto First Nation, New Brunswick area.
Peter was last seen on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at approximately 8:30 pm near the St. John River. He was reported missing to the RCMP on May 17, 2017.
He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans, and black and grey “New Balance” sneakers. He also walks with the aid of a cane.
Peter is described as:
• GENDER: Male.
• HAIR: Dark, greying.
• HEIGHT: 5 feet 7 inches.
• WEIGHT: 150 pounds.
